Retirement

A presentation was made to Iris Tector to mark her retirement as vice chairperson and committee member. Normally this would happen at the AGM but with Covid this wasn't going to be possible in the foreseeable future. So just 7 committee members represented the committee and club in thanking Iris for her great contribution to the club down the years.

​Helen Rath designed a beautiful card. Margaret said " Iris always put the club first". Helen Battigan noted Iris's talent in the floral art dept, while Edie told some hair-raising stories of garden trips! Iris was surprised but appreciated the occasion. She said "she loved the club and found everyone worked so well together". She congratulated Paula Forte on being vice chairperson and wished her all the best. She will continue to organise the plant sale in Clonroche and the Christmas party, whenever!
