We have 2 very different gardens on this page  -  Sarah's and Daphne's

 SARAH'S GARDEN
Sarah's garden is a mature town garden. A mixture of shrubs herbaceous and bulbs. She also has an extensive vegetable garden growing potatoes, beans, leeks, peas, onions and sprouts. As well as her horticultural efforts she is a craft enthusiast.  Specially print making and textiles. So she turned her talents to making a "textile garden"  a few years ago. This was inspired by traditional a Knot garden.

DAPHNE'S GARDEN

It is a challenging windy site with views South towards Ferns Castle. The garden is approximately one acre which was farmland. It now has a two-storey house located at the centre. A lawn to the front is surrounded on two sides by a shrubbery with some ornamental trees within the lawn.
On the south side of the house there are Herbaceous borders which lead to a small grove of Himalayan Silver Birch with Cherry trees alongside and underplanted with Hellebores.
The central back Garden is dominated by a Crucifix shaped double sided Herbaceous Border which is enclosed within a mature Beech hedge and transected by a long Pergola which is likewise enclosed within this hedge. There are also two distinct areas for seating and eating and maybe enjoying a glass of wine.
To the very rear is the greenhouse and potting area. Also, several raised beds for vegetables and a new Fruit cage under construction. Nearby are the Hens which are living safely within their run.
